Charles Waddicor

Born 1951 in Wythenshaw, Manchester. Read History at the University of Cambridge, Clare College and found the environment difficult. He was living on Castle Street when he discovered Kettle's Yard. He went on a tour around the house with Jim Ede. He was quite lonely in his second year at Clare and became a student helper which helped him enormously. Kettle's Yard influenced him in appreciating 20th century art. At the time of interview Charles was Chief Executive of a Primary Care Trust in the south of England.
