Richard Hill

Born 1948. Studied architecture from 1967-1972 at the University of Cambridge, Magdalene College. He discovered the Fitzwilliam Museum first as it was very close to the Department of Architecture. Kettle's Yard was not held with much regard by his lecturers who mainly preferred to teach the aesthetics of the Bauhaus. First went into Kettle's Yard with another student and Jim Ede gave them a tour of the house and tea afterward. Remembers being scared of him. At the time of interview Richard was working for an architectural practice in south London.
